Journeymen As A Cartoon??

Deo Taking Sabatical From Road

As you may have seen Deo is taking a Sabatical from the road for June and July.  Deo is truely going to be missed while we are on the road outwest, but we have found a great replacement.  It has been an honer working with Jason already.  He brings a lot of fun and laughter to the road.  Trust me when I say when he is around we never have a dull moment.  Be sure if you see Jason at a concert to come up and say hey to him and make him feel welcome to The Journeymen Family.

Studio Time

JQ were in the studio for 3 days this week and then finished our 5 day tour in Virginia and Maryland. We decided on this project to go “Back to The Basics” of the Journeymen days and have tracks with Just a Piano, Bass, and some Drums. We have included old Southern Gospel Favorites Such as:

Oh What A Savior
Mansion Over The Hilltop
Everybody Will Be Happy Over There
Send The Light
Love Lifted Me
and 7 More.

Sittin through listening to the boys do there vocals. You are going to be truly impressed with The Sound. Producer Shane Roark is a task master when it comes to vocals and really put the group to the test with some of the arrangements. I am sure that when you pick up your copy which will be available in the online store in August you will truly enjoy every second of it.

It was really neat being as young as Kurtis, Jason and Myself are getting to go back to the old style and record this project with The Old Men. That’s right I said old MEN. As you have probably noticed from the front photo and the Biography we have added another bass singer to the rotation. I’ll be on here in a few weeks with some more info on Jason. I’ve had the priviledge of working with this young man for the past month and he will truly knock your socks off. One of the finest young bass singers that I have ever heard. Well getting ready to jump on stage and I still gotta go get changed and grab a bite to eat. My stomach is growling something fierce.

Luv Ya’ll,
Squirrelster!

Whats Going On?

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know what was going on in the world of JQ.  The appointments are starting to roll in and we are going to get to meet many new faces this year.  Lets see... whats going on????

1.  Generator stopped working 2 weeks ago and we slept on a 23 degree bus!
2.  Generator still not working so we took the van and trailor to North Carolina.
3.  Van and Trailor almost went into a ditch because of heavy snow.
4.  Van and Trailor was pulled up a hill which was really fun!!!
5.  Journeymen are heading to Florida for Valentines Day Weekend.  So my Valentine this year will be THE SUN.

Well that is all I have news wise right now!  Can't wait to see ya'll again soon!!!!

Love Ya,

Squirrels Thoughts 2010 (First Edition)

Hey Everyone,
It is hard to believe that 2009 has come and gone.  The Journeymen kicked off 2010 with a bang singing in the New Year at a local church in Huntington followed by a jam packed weekend in TN.  The Journeymen have a lot planned for 2010 being at many new venues as well as being with some of our closest friends across America that we can consider Family.  The blog for Squirrels Thoughts is back in this format which is going to make it a lot easier for me to write.  And now on to the group.  2010 has started out with group members being Dad, Myself, Deo and our newest member, 24 year old, Adam Forsythe.  If you haven't seen JQ since Adam joined you are in for a treat.  Such a humble Gentlemen that is going to be a JQ fan pleaser wherever we go.  I hope that you all welcome Adam with open arms as the group has that he might inhance our ministry for some time to come.  Many of you have asked about the Old men in your emails.  Both are doing great and are excited for the new year.  As for Adam and myself, we are in awe of getting to travel with two great men that care for us like they do.  Nomatter what we need, we know that we can always count on them to be there for us with advice from their lives.  I think that is one of the greatest things of getting to travel with my dad come to think of it.  Not a lot of boys get to work with there dad and get to spend as much time together as we do.  Whether it be on the road or in the office or making our weekely trip to Steak n Shake.  (Since I plugged the restaraunt does that mean I get free food??)  I count it an honer to stand beside my dad week after week.  Well it is now 12:19 in the morning and I am getting a little tired.  Be sure to sign up for the new Email Updates on the homepage so you will be notified whenever I write up a thought.
Love ya'll,
Blake Bledsoe
